Weekly Update - September 8, 2023
It has been a pleasure to watch the staff, students and parent community come together for the opening days of the 2023-24 school year at Elbow Park School. The staff worked extremely hard to prepare the classrooms and programs on the days prior to the arrival of students. The result of this work has been a smooth transition from holidays to school for the students. Thank you to everyone who attended the Meet the Teacher event on Thursday evening. There is a wonderful excitement that comes with the start of the school year!
We have had some difficulties with our bells and pa system to start the year but we seem to have a working system at this time. Additionally, many CBE sites, including Elbow Park School, experienced a network outage on Thursday that lasted into this morning (Friday). As of writing this update, network services have been restored at Elbow Park School. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these technological challenges.
Upcoming events include:
Wednesday, Sept. 13 School Council Meeting 1:30 – 3:00 pm in the Learning Commons and via Microsoft Teams
Thursday, Sept. 21 Terry Fox Assembly and Run TBD – specifics about the time of this event will be shared next week
Friday, Sept. 22 CBE Organizational Day No classes for students
