Principal’s Message

We had a busy short week that included watching the Blakey O’Brien Irish Dancers perform on stage for us, helping us celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We also want to thank Stephania and Steven from Calgary Opera who helped Ms. Warburton and Mrs. Schmalz host auditions for our upcoming opera. They were amazed at our student’s abilities and energy that they brought. Students will continue to find our their parts when we return from Spring Break. We will be hosting a flag-football unit in physical education sponsored and led by the Calgary Flames Foundation.

We are also excited to welcome back both Mr. Daga (Kindergarten & Music) and Mrs. Hutchinson (Grades 4-5). They were both in today working with our staff to reconnect and ensure a smooth transition. Conversely, we are sad to see Mrs. Schmalz and Mrs. Riegel leave, who contributed greatly to our Music program and Grade 4-5 Team respectively. We also would like to recognize that Mr. Armstrong, our Facility Operator, has officially retired. Replacing him is Mr. Manuel, who’s first day was during our big dump of snow last week – a challenging welcome!
