Volunteer Request – Activity Day

On June 20, 2025 (this Friday) each homeroom will require support to run an activity station for students. Teachers will have an activity designed and would require 2-4 parents to set-up and monitor the station while students rotate through them with their teachers. We do have indoor activities planned in case of inclement weather. Watch for an email from your homeroom with more details. The time requirement would be from 9:30 to noon, and could be divided up into smaller shifts if required.

Outside Supervision (Entry & Dismissal)

We have noticed a growing number of students who are on our school grounds at or before 8:00 a.m. and after 3:30 p.m.

We just want families to be aware that outdoor teacher supervision begins at 8:05 a.m. and teachers are not outside after 3:20 p.m.

Student Medication

Any student medication stored in the office will be sent home with students on Thursday, June 26. If you would prefer to collect the medication yourself on that day, or require it earlier, please email the office (elbowpark@cbe.ab.ca) and we will hold the medication aside for collection.

Lost & Found

We have many hoodies and sweaters (about 50) in our lost and found. Please make a point of coming into the building to claim any lost items. Anything left behind will be washed and donated to James Short Memorial School.

Accessing Online Report Cards through MyCBE

Families will be able to view online student report cards for Kindergarten to Grade 12 between June 25 to July 25, 2025. Report cards for the 2024-25 school year may be viewed, downloaded and/or printed.

Parents and Guardians can sign in to MyCBE to view student information, including report cards, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades, and attendance information. For best access to information, log in to the MyCBE portal instead of using the PowerSchool App.

Need Help? Check out these videos for more information on how to log in and navigate the portal when you have more than one child attending CBE schools

Child’s Play Child Care

Please register now if you intend to access drop-in care next school year. Registration is required for this. To better meet the before and after school care needs of our community, we have found a provider who offers flexible drop-in care (1-4 days) as well as full-time care. Their fees are as follows:

Please see our Before & After School Care webpage for fees and more details regarding registration.
