Calgary Opera Residency
We have begun our residency with Calgary Opera which will create our centennial themed performances on June 4 and 5.
We will require some parent volunteers to assist with elements of the production including costuming. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Fech: jwfech@cbe.ab.ca
Each homeroom has been working with Devin, our librettist, this week to come up with the content and lyrics for the play. Each grade level has a different time era of study. Feedback from Devin has been nothing short of amazing as he spoke to the high level of engagement of our students through this process.
Rideau Park Open House (Grade 6 Parents)
The Open House for Rideau Park School will take place from 6:00pm to 6:45pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026. If you are interested in learning about our Regular programming we encourage you to attend with your child.
Student representatives, teachers and administration will be available to answer your questions.

Digital Citizenship – Online Safety
Our students are beginning to learn about online safety with our learning outcome being that learners will demonstrate respectful and inclusive behaviour while using digital tools. Students are using a variety of age-appropriate resources either guided by the homeroom teacher or with instruction and individual time using the provided resources.
Parents may view and access the resources on our Digital Citizenship Plan that is available in the “Related Information” section on our Digital Citizenship webpage.
Fun Lunches
Our Fun Lunch program has resumed for Dec. 3 with Mucho Burrito. Many families had not yet signed up for this week’s lunch. You are able to sign up for all of these in advance for the school year and details can be found on our Lunchtime webpage.
