Principal’s Message

This week, we were excited to host the Grades 7-9 Concert Band from Rideau Park. They braved the deep snow on Thursday morning and walked to our school with their instruments. They played for 30 minutes and Ms. Koshynsky, the Band Teacher, taught our students about her program. The band students identified what instruments they play and one student told us about the highlights of band camp. We had about 10 former EPS students that were in the band playing for us which was also a highlight to see them again.

Our Grade 4-5 students invited the school to come visit their museum gallery walkthrough sharing what they learned about ancient civilizations. They also had a presentation about magnetism from the University of Calgary Science FUNdamentals program.

School Council Elections

The minutes from our March 12 meeting have been posted. Notable points to review include queries for playground upgrade, Fall Fair/Spring Fling planning and elections for the executive (Chair, Vice Chair, Communications) are upcoming at the May 7 AGM (6:30 p.m.).
